Itinerary of Ziro Music Festival Tour

Day 1: 23rd Sep, 2026 (Wednesday): Tour Starts from Guwahati (At 10:30 PM)

Reach Guwahati, Train to Ziro

The tour begins at Guwahati Railway Station. Plan to reach Guwahati by afternoon so that you have ample time to relax before the tour begins. This also helps in case there are flight delays. If needed, we can provide you with a stay to rest and chill on this day. All guests are requested to be at the railway station by 10:30 pm. You will be taking an overnight journey to the Ziro's nearest railway station.

Day 2: 24th Sep, 2026 (Thursday): Railway Station - Ziro

Welcome to the camp site!

You will reach the railway station closest to Ziro very early in the morning. Our vehicle will be present there to welcome you. We will start our drive towards the beautiful town of Ziro. It will take approximately 3 hours to cover the distance. We will reach campsite at Ziro in the afternoon. It is time for relaxing in your pre arranged tent and freshen up before we start an exciting evening.

Day 3: 25th Sep, 2026 (Friday): Ziro

Sit back, relax and enjoy the music

Witness a beautiful sunrise, much earlier than the usual times. Because, you are in the land of rising sun! The greenery of this beautiful village will surely surprise you. Spend the day by walking in this beautiful village. Later we will visit the venue of music festival. Time to enjoy a lot of music, have food, drinks and lots of fun!

This retreat is the perfect escape from the Urban Jungle, where you just relax, enjoy, listen to some music and try the local cuisine along with some rice beer. The evening Jamming session continues in our Campsite by some local singers accompanying us throughout our journey. Lie down and take in the pleasure of stargazing. The night is young.

Day 4: 26th Sep, 2026 (Saturday): Ziro

Meet the locals

Today, we will take you to a walk through the Apatani way of life. A cup of tea along with some snacks in addition while you site and chitchat inside a traditional Apatani house.

Head to the festival ground, enjoy the performances and come back whenever you feel like your campsite, where our Jamming awaits you for some thrilling performances by the local singers.

Day 5: 27th Sep, 2026 (Sunday): Ziro

Eat, Sleep, Music, Repeat

Today is the last day of the festival. And as usual, the best is kept for the last. Immerse yourself with the events of the festival here.

Try out different activities organized by Zikation ( trek to the woods, music activities). The Camp will be full of throttle experiences. Head to the festival at 1 pm and party into the night. We will wait for you to come back and a Gala for the final night and never forgetting experiences.

Day 6: 28th Sep, 2026 (Monday): Ziro - Railway Station

Return to Guwahati

After the fun filled days at Ziro, the biggest music festival in India, it is now time to bid good bye to this awesome place.

Freshen up in the morning, get some snaps with all the awesome people you’ve met and bid your new friends’ goodbye. We will gather outside the Camp at 9:00 am. Drive towards the station after breakfast and board your overnight train for Guwahati. You will reach Guwahati railway station on 29th September early morning. Upon arrival, you wil be dropped at the Guwahati Railway Station, from where you can continue your journey onwards.

Day 7: 29th Sep, 2026 (Tuesday): Guwahati Railway Station

Reach Guwahati Railway station at 6 AM. Your tour to Ziro Festival of Music ends here.

How to reach Ziro?

The nearest commercial airport is Guwahati or Dibrugarh. You can fly to any of these locations, and reach Ziro by road. Vehicles can be hired from Guwahati, Dibrugarh or Tezpur to reach Ziro. However, due to the sudden inflow of people during the festival, there may not be enough vehicles to make last minute arrangements. If you are planning to visit, please reserve your seats early.

The airport at Itanagar is also functional during the festival season. In fact, Ziro also has an airport and is connected from Guwahati. However, the flights are not frequent, and are subject to cancellation depending on the number of people who booked it.

Another option to reach Ziro is to opt for this tour package, where we make all the arrangements to pick you up from and drop you back to Guwahati Railway Station.

What permits are needed to attend the festival?

To enter Arunachal Pradesh, you need to apply for Inner Line Permit (ILP) or Protected Area Permit (PAP). You can enter the state only if your ILP application is approved. You also need to buy festival pass for each day or for all days to attend the festival. If you choose our tour, we have all of these covered.
