Phantom Rock

Edakkal Caves
Edakkal Caves is located at an altitude of 4000 ft above sea level. The caves are actually a large slit that is formed between the two gigantic rocks. In addition, a huge boulder is present in between the slit at a height of 30 ft above the ground. The caves is a natural wonder, and is definitely worth a visit. Apart from its natural attraction, the caves also have inscriptions that are dated 8000 years ago! Yes, some of them are dated around Indus Valley Civilization, and even Harappan civilisation. There are not many known sites in South India that are dates this old.
Soochippara Falls
Soochippara Falls is a beautiful waterfalls that is located 25 km from the town of Kalpetta. The water here cascades down 200m, and is an awesome sight to look out for. You can also take a dip at the pool that is formed at base of the falls.
Muthunga Wildlife Sanctuary
This region has a lot of wildlife sanctuaries. While the region is close to border of three different states (Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu), it is once single forest for the wilds living here. While most of the forest region is part of neighbouring Karnataka, Muthunga also has a small share and is home to a variety of wild animals and birds. If you are interested in wildlife, going for a safari at Muthunga is a good stop.

- Scenic Drive to Kalpetta in the Wayanad district of Kerala via Mysore, Gundlupet and Muthunga Forests

- Visit Edakkal Caves
- Reach Kalpetta. Check-in and relax.
Day 2
- Visit Pookode Lake
- Visit Lakkidi View Point
- Drive through the ghats if interested
- Visit Soochipara Falls
- Spend some time watching the greenery all around
- Back to Kalpetta, relax
Day 3
- After breakfast, checkout and drive to Banasura Sagar Dam
- Spend enough time at the dam, and the park near by
- Go for boating, speed boat at the dam
- Visit Karalad Lake
- In the evening, stroll around Kalpetta
Day 4
- Visit Ancient Jain Temple
- Go for a safari at Muthunga Wildlife Sanctuary
- Visit Kokkare Bellur Village (seasonal)
- Drive back to Bangalore
