Murudeshwar

Murudeshwar is a small coastal town that is popular for its massive statue of Lord Shiva located right next to the Arabian Sea. The huge statue is 123 feet tall, and is the second largest in India. The statue is visible from a distance as it is located on the top of a hill cliff next to the sea. Adding to the beauty is a tall 20 floor Raja Gopuram of the temple. You can go to the top of the Gopuram, and get an aerial view of the statue with the sea in the background.
