Itinerary of North Sikkim Tour

Day 1: Siliguri – Gangtok

We start an amazing trip by arriving at Siliguri early in the day. The nearest airport is Bagdogra, and railway station in New Jalpaiguri. After arrival, we drive to Gangtok, capital of Sikkim. Check-in to a hotel and relax.

Day 2: Gangtok – Lachen

Today we start our drive towards North Sikkim. The beautiful drive to Lachen passes through several waterfalls, views of Kanchenjunga ranges, awesome landscapes around River Teesta, and amazing snow clad mountain ranges in Lachen. Later in the evening, we will checkin to a hotel/homestay and relax.

Day 3: Lachen – Gurudongmar Lake – Lachung

We start our day early to visit the highest lake in the mountains, Gurudongmar Lake. The high altitude lake is situated at a height of 18000 ft above sea level. The place is just magical, with blue waters and dry barren mountains surrounding the lake. After spending ample time at this stunning lake, we will drive back towards Lachen for lunch. Later, we will drive to Lachung, for yet another exciting day at North Sikkim.

Day 4: Lachung – Yumthang Valley – Zero Point – Gangtok

Today we will visit Yumthang Valley. This valley is stunningly beautiful with tall mountains on all sides, and peacefully flowing Lachung River in between. You can also visit Natural Hot Springs here. During the flowering season, you can witness the valley filled with rhododendron flowers, adding more colours to the valley. Zero Point is located at an altitude of over 16000 ft above sea level, and is close to the starting point of River Lachung. This is yet another stunning place, and if you visit at the right time, you get to play with lot of snow! After an exciting day, we will drive back to Gangtok and relax.

Day 5: Gangtok – Tsongmo Lake – Baba Mandir – Gangtok

We will visit yet another high altitude destination today. Tsongmo Lake or Changu Lake is located at an altitude of 11000 ft above sea level. This beautiful lake looks different from different view points and cannot fail to impress with each view. Later, we will drive to Nathula Pass, which is located at 14000 ft above sea level. This pass is the trading border between India and China. You can go close to the border, and watch the gates of India and China. Visit Baba Mandir to know what is special about it. Drive back to Gangtok and relax.

Day 6: Gangtok – Siliguri

Today is the last day of this trip of lifetime. We will leave Gangtok today and drop you to New Jalpaiguri railway station or Bagdogra airport. That brings an end to this awesome North Sikkim Tour that you always wanted to take.
