Itinerary of Backpacking Rajasthan Tour

Day 1: Arrive Jaipur

Let us begin our awesome tour to Rajasthan by arriving at airport / railway station. We will pick you up from there, and transfer you to hotel. After lunch, we will go to City Palace, Hawa Mahal and Jantar Mantar. Later drive back to hotel and relax.

Day 2: Jaipur Sightseeing

Today we will explore the beautiful town of Jaipur. We will start our day by visiting Amber Fort / Amer Fort. If you are interested, you can even enter the fort on an elephant ride. Every building of the fort will show you the love for art the royal family used to have. After exploring the fort, we move to another fort which houses the largest cannon in India, Jaigarh Fort. Later, we visit Nahargarh Fort. In the evening, we will stroll through the colourful bazaars and if interested, get indulged in some shopping.

Day 3: Jaipur – Jodhpur

Today, we will drive to Jodhpur, which is also known as the “Blue City”. We will first visit the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort and Jaswant Thada. Later, we spend some time in exploring the old city’s blue-painted houses – this is the reason why Jodhpur is called the Blue City.

Day 4: Jodhpur – Jaisalmer

After breakfast, we checkout from hotel and drive to Jaisalmer, the “Golden City”. On reaching, we will explore the largest “living” fort in India, the Jaisalmer Fort / Golden Fort / Sonar Qila. After visiting this beautiful and artistic fort, you will know why the fort is also called Golden Fort. Later, we will also visit Patwon Ki Haveli. In the evening, visit Gadisar Lake and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere.

Day 5: Jaisalmer – Sam Sand Dunes

In the morning, we will explore the intricate architecture of Jain Temples. After lunch, we will go to Sam Sand Dunes, where you can see the beautiful sandy deserts. Going for a camel ride during the sunset is the most popular thing to do here. You can also go for Jeep Safari on the desert. After sunset, you can check-in to a camp where you will be welcomed in a traditional way. You can also enjoy some entertainment programs and dinner at the camp. Later, we will take a overnight luxury bus to Udaipur.

Day 6: Udaipur

In the morning, we will arrive at Udaipur. We will checkin to a hotel, relax for a while and freshen up. Later, we will explore the “City of Lakes”. We will start our day by visiting the City Palace and later enjoy a boat ride on Lake Pichola. Explore the Jag Mandir and Jagadish Temple. Later, drive back to hotel and relax.

Day 7: Udaipur Departure

Today is the last day of the tour. Depending on your departure time, you can do some last minute sightseeing or shopping. Later, we will drop you to Udaipur airport / Railway Station.
