Kaveri Nisargadhama is a small island formed by River Kaveri in the Coorg or Kodagu district of Karnataka. The island has several attractions for tourists. You can go on a boat ride, visit a mini zoo, elephant ride, laze around in the tree houses, click perfect pictures amidst bamboo plantations and many others.
Dubbare Elephant Camp
The elephant camp at Dubbare is the place where the elephants are prepared for the Dussehra Festival in Mysore. The camp has huge number of elephants, and has been open to public who are interested in knowing more about the elephants. Visitors can indulge in various activities like bathing the elephant, feeding food, and also go for a ride on elephant’s back. Abbey Falls
Abbey Falls is the most popular waterfalls in Coorg. The two-stepped waterfall is located right in the middle of private coffee plantation. However, the route to Abbey Falls is open to public, and visitors can get a glimpse of the falls from the view point.
Bylakuppe Tibetan Monestry

Bylakuppe is a small village in Coorg, and has the largest settlement of Tibetans after McLeod Ganj in Himachal Pradesh. The monastery in Bylakuppe also has a Golden Temple which is a must visit if you are in Coorg.
Talakaveri
Talakaveri is the birth place of River Cauvery. Apart from the temple at Talakaveri, you can also climb 300 steps to Brahmagiri hill to get a glimpse of the dense forests of Western Ghats. Moreover, on a clear day, you even get to see the Arabian Sea which is more than 100 km away!

- After breakfast, visit Talacauvery
- Hike up to Brahmagiri Hill (300+ steps)
- Visit Bhagamandala Temple, and Sangama, confluence point of 3 rivers
- Visit Abbe Falls
- Drive back to Mangalore as the exciting weekend comes to an end
