Itinerary for Sikkim Darjeeling Tour
Day 1: Bagdogra - Gangtok
The tour begins with arriving at Bagdogra / Siliguri. We will then go for a scenic drive to arrive at Gangtok. Check-in to a hotel and relax. In the evening, explore the Gangtok market / MG Marg.
Day 2: Changu / Tsongmo Lake Excursion (with optional Nathula Pass)
We will visit a high altitude destination today. Tsongmo Lake or Changu Lake is located at an altitude of 11000 ft above sea level. This beautiful lake looks different from different view points and cannot fail to impress with each view. Later, we will drive to Nathula Pass, which is located at 14000 ft above sea level. This pass is the trading border between India and China. You can go close to the border, and watch the gates of India and China. Visit Baba Mandir to know what is special about it. Drive back to Gangtok and relax.
Day 3: Gangtok - Namchi - Pelling
After breakfast checkout of hotel. we drive to Namchi (3 hours). Namchi is popular for Char Dham Temple, which has a replica of all the for Dhams of India (Badrinath, Puri, Dwaraka and Rameshwaram). In addition to this, it also has replica of the 12 Jyotirlings of India. The beautiful Char Dham Temple is surrounded by natural beauty of the mountains around.
We will later drive to Pelling, check-in to a hotel/homestay and relax.
Day 4: Pelling Sightseeing
Today, we will explore the beautiful places in and around Pelling. Kanchenjunga Falls, Kechopalri Lake, Rimbi Falls are some of the places that are covered today.
In the evening, we will visit the first Glass Bottom Skywalk of India. Witnessing the sunset from here, along with visiting the statue of Sangachuling and the views of Kanchenjunga ranges makes it a perfect evening.
Day 5: Pelling - Darjeeling
Checkout of the hotel and drive to Darjeeling. In the evening, take a ride on the toy train, the iconic thing to do in Darjeeling. Later, spend some time at the Darjeeling Market. Checkin to a hotel and relax.
Day 6: Darjeeling Sightseeing
Today is a hectic day as we start very early to witness the magical sunrise at Tiger Hill. On a clear day, you can view both Kanchenjunga and Mt Everest in one single frame as the first rays of sun falls on them. Perhaps this is the only place where you find the two mountains from one single place. Later, we will visit Batasia Loop and Ghoom Monastery. We will later go back to hotel to have breakfast. After a fantastic breakfast, we will visit Tea Gardens, Peace Pagoda and other places of interest in Darjeeling.
Day 7: Sikkim Darjeeling Departure
Today is the last day of the trip. After a leisurely breakfast, we will drive to Siliguri and drop you to New Jalpaiguri Railway Station, or Bagdogra Airport, bringing and end to the awesome tour
